In the Indian tradition, this is a very important Full Moon. It is a time to honour one's teachers, mentors, Gurus. The word Guru translates to mean "that which transforms darkness into light" or "dispeller of darkness."
This begs three questions for me...
1) What does it mean to Honour something/someone?
2) What allows or creates the possibility for darkness to be transformed?
3) Who are/have been my Teachers?
To Honour
There is an outward extending energy in the verb "to honour" -- it's something you offer out. Which, for me, requires..first... a centering within.
To honour anything outside of myself in an authentic way...not just performatively or shallowly... requires for me to be anchored in my own being.
Once that is established, and I have a foundation of self awareness, when I turn my gaze outward I am able to see what I perceive more clearly. This means taking off rose coloured glasses, this means not
TO HONOUR MY TEACHERS.... To live in accordance with and to embody that which has been recieved from those that have opened a door, ignited an awakening, been a catalyst for growth and/or transformation.
Paying homage is an important piece. To recognize and acknowledge.
But even deeper, and I would posit is even more essential, is to actually embody and pass on the light that I have recieved.
I honour my Teachers every time I share the wisdom I've gained through their influence.
I honour my Mentors every time their guidance influences how I live my life and walk this earth, and I am able to recognize and be thankful of that.
I honour the energy of life that brings me from Darkness into Light everytime I recognize that Darkness can be a teacher also. How could I possibly honour the Light if I have not walked through Darkness and lived to tell the tale? How could I possibly embody compassion and wisdom if I have not faced my own shadow, the shadows of my culture, the shadows of humanity? It is through traversing Darkness that I can truly understand Light.
In honour of this Full Moon in Capricorn, I have pulled a few cards for us all...

Card # 2 -- What action can we each take that will help our community, our family?
Card # 3 -- What action can we take that will÷ benefit humanity, the world?
